Death Note

"The Human whose name is written in this note shall die."

It's not as dark as it seems but Death Note is definitely one of the best japan imported movie this year. Or should i say movies? Death Note the Movie has two parts, the 2nd one a sequel from the first. I haven't watched the 2nd movie since I haven't seen anything with English subs, and i don't want to spoil the story since I'm also watching the anime version.

Death Note is the story of a High School Student named Light Yagami who happened to have picked up a black notebook. This black notebook happens to be the Death Note which was owned by the Death God Ryuk. As the story goes, Light uses the Death Note to kill criminals of sorts until his activities are tracked by a talented detective known as L. Since Light's Death Note requires a name and a face to kill and L needed evidence to convict Light as "Kira", a battle of wits had begun.

You can read episode synopses and download from there from all Death Note episodes (as of now, there are 17 episodes all in all, the series in on-going). You can also download the manga version. They have a gallery and forums to sink you Death Note obsessions into. I may feature the anime version soon in this blog.

Once I watch the 2nd movie, I'll be sure to make another blogpost for that one. xD
